From a Racquetball Players perspective who is starting to play Pickleball as well: Gearbox Racquets come in grip sizes that are more in line with Racquetball Racquet Grip sizes, which are more appropriate for switching grips with one hand i.e. 3 5/8 and 3 15/16.
Also, there is the hook at the bottom of the handle to attach a string to prevent the racquet from slipping out of hands, as is the case with Racquetball Racquets, even though the site does not offer the option to attach the string. A mistake in my opinion.
I also love the rubber grip a la Racquetball Racquets.
The Racquet itself plays very well and I notice little difference between it and Selkirk etc. But then I am perhaps not as advanced a Pickleball Player as I am a Racquetball Player, and therefore it is a little more difficult for me to notice the difference.
I love the elongated handle which feels like more like an E-Force Racquet in my hand that I usually play with. I hope Gearbox continues to make these racquets for they are best suited for Racquetball players who also play Pickleball.

I used to be a Selkirk paddle enthusiast from their new Invikta Power Air Paddle and their Invikta Vanguard and Invikta Amped which I all owned and enjoyed until I tried the Gearbox Brand. I now use Gearbox exclusively! My Gearbox arsenal consists of the GX6 control series, the CX11 power series, CX14, GBX (16mm), and my newest edition the CX14 Ultimate, all of which are elongated paddles. Right out of the box, the CX14 Ultimate felt perfect. The ping sound of the pickleball hitting the paddle was very distinctive while the return action of the ball was powerful yet very controllable. I highly recommend any of the Gearbox paddles and if you can afford the price of the CX14 Ultimate then purchase it and PLAY some PICKLEBALL! Oh, on a side note, I also highly recommend the Python Grip which is sold and placed on your paddle’s grip by Pickleball Galaxy. It’s a grip that won’t slip and comes in numerous colors to match your individual taste! 0/0/START!

- Simple Returns: No need to call us or request a return authorization number. Just send your items back using any trackable shipping method, and hold on to the tracking number. We don’t charge restocking fees!

You can return any equipment within 30 days of receiving your order, (For the Holiday Season the return period is extended to 1/31/25) as long as it meets our return requirements/conditions (See below). Just pack the item(s) along with a copy of your invoice or a note with your name, address, phone number, and how you’d like us to process the return (refund or exchange).
We’ll refund you the full cost of the item, minus any original shipping charges and any upgrades (e.g., regripping, protection tape). If you received free items with your purchase, these must also be returned, or you will be charged for them.

- Purchasing multiple paddles and returning most or all of them used
- Excessive returns of used paddles within a 12-month period
